The Feldbergschule Oberursel is committed to diversity and against racism at its school. It is a strong sign of the faculty and the students to recognize themselves as individuals, with their special features and their uniqueness, to recognize the same and also the different and to understand them as values. In this way, around forty black-and-white portraits based on Richard Avedon's "In the American West" as well as interviews with the students were created over two days.
The photo series received an award from the Federal Ministry of Education as part of the school's submission. In particular, the commitment to diversity and the fight against racism was recognized.
