Rather than treating AI as a neutral instrument, the project foregrounds the role of prompts as a form of authorship and conceptual control. Language becomes the primary interface through which images are produced, questioning traditional notions of photographic skill, intention and indexicality.

Portr’AI Book does not aim to replace photography, but to expose the tensions between camera-based image practices and algorithmic image generation. The series examines how meaning, authorship and responsibility shift when images are no longer produced through light, space and physical presence, but through probabilistic systems and textual commands.
